  • M.Sc Nursing

    Specialities :

    Course duration : 2 Years

    Eligibility :

    • The candidate should clear B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from the institution, recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
    • The candidate also should be Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN & RM) or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council and possess one year of experience after Basic B.Sc Nursing or one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
    • Candidates should be medically fit for the course.

    Scope / Outcome :
    Post graduate programme in nursing builds upon and extends competence acquired at the graduate levels, emphasizes application of relevant theories into nursing practice, education, administration and development of research skills. The programme prepares nurses for leadership position in nursing and health fields who can function as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, administrators and researchers in a wide variety of professional settings in meeting the National priorities and the changing needs of the society. Further the programme encourages accountability and commitment to life long learning which fosters improvement of quality care.

  • Post Basic Diploma

    Course duration : 1 Years

    Eligibility :

    • A candidate should be registered nurses DGNM / B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent examination and should be registered with the state Nursing Council.
    • Admission is open to male and female candidates.
    • Foreign candidates must produce equivalent certificates from Indian Nursing Council, stating that their qualification and experience is adequate for enrolling them in this course.
    • One year experience as staff nurse in a large hospital.
    • Candidates should be medically fit for the course.

    Scope / Outcome :
    On successful completion of the course, candidate shall be having following employment opportunities

    • Serve as a Specialty nurses/ Nurse practitioner in government and corporate sectors of Indian settings.
    • Candidate would be getting benefit of earning approx. 12 credit hours for immigration process as per nursing immigration rules.
    • Serves as Managers/ Head of specialized nursing departments.
    • Serves as faculty in nursing colleges for teaching the specialty courses.
    • Research scholars in Medical research institutes and pharmaceutical companies..
