Prof. Shany Sarate has more than 15 years of experience in nursing education and research, with a specialization in cardiovascular and thoracic nursing. She has been associated with the institution since 2016 and is actively involved in its academic, administrative, and research activities. She is currently pursuing her PhD from Bhaikaka University.
Prof. Sarate plays a key role in teaching, guiding postgraduate students, faculty development programs, and contributing to the department’s research and innovation efforts. She has published several original research papers and presented her work at national and international conferences. Her professional interests include bedside nursing care, evidence-based nursing, and innovative teaching-learning strategies.
As a leader, she has a clear vision of enriching the institute's quality through excellence in patient care, academic advancement, and research innovation. Her contributions have been recognized with the Employee of the Quarter Award from Charotar Arogya Mandal in 2018 and the Best Teacher Award of the Charotar region by Rotary Club Anand in 2024.
