The research committee is headed by the Principal and its members are appointed by him. The main function of the research committee is to develop a list of potential research projects and disseminate the research information to the faculties of the institution also promote the research activities.

OBJECTIVES

• To facilitate fundamentals of research for the students
• To review research for ethics and efficiency
• To promote the research activities by the students and faculties of the institute
• Conduct interdisciplinary research in various departments like Medical-Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Obstetric Gynecological Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, etc.
• To Disseminate and implement research findings
• To aid in the development of the student's and faculty's research capabilities
• To assist in the work of the research foundation
• To maintain a record of completed research projects and ongoing research projects

FUNCTIONS

• Research committee focuses on the development of research activities among students and faculties
• Research committee focuses on reviewing the research of students for specificity, measurability, attainability, reliability, and timely bound
• Research committee looks for fulfilling the basic minimum requirement for submission of a research proposal to the IEC
• Research committee conducts a meeting with the Head of the department for the enhancement of research activity in the department
• Research committee maintains a record of all meetings of the department and presentations
• Research committee develops a guideline for the preparation of the dissertation
• Research committee is liable to organize periodical training for the staff members for research enhancement in the department
• Research committee is open to suggestions for all the inter-departmental research activities
• Research committee will focus on the publication of research findings
• Research committee prepares a Proforma for the evaluation of students for internal examination of research or synopsis presentation
• Research committee encourages faculty members to apply for Major, Minor Research Projects
• Research committee ensures smooth functioning and effective Management of Research & Innovation activities at the institute
• Research committee promotes collaborative research

RESEARCH RESPONSIBILITY OF FACULTY

• Faculty should be involved in any kind of research project of each academic year
• Every alternate year UG student’s projects will be assigned to 5 faculty members rotation according to and the remaining PG faculty individually submit a research proposal to IEC and continue it
• Specialty of concern faculty will be preferable are of research but in a five-year duration, she/he may be involved in nursing education/administration related area of research
• Project completed considered only in case of Published in UGC care listed journals and the abstract of research should be shared with the nursing research advisory committee as well as IEC as early as possible with a certificate of publication. Also, advice to PI that if reevaluating abstract can be shared with the Bhaikaka University concern department for generates evidence-based research practice
