Vocational Guidance Committee (VGC)

VGC is working under the umbrella of the career development and placement cell (CDPC) at Bhaikaka University. It will provide full training and placement assistance to students in all areas of professional education. It consists of a dedicated and well-experienced placement team who constantly explores new avenues, institute interaction, and linkages across all the health sectors including hospitals, laboratories, and industries. The Aim of the committee is to equip the students with relevant and conceptualized professional skills and guide them toward a bright future and career with the core values of Ethics, Commitment, Honesty & Integrity.

OBJECTIVES

  • To assist students in developing and clarifying their academic and career interests
  • To work with faculty members, department heads, and administration to integrate career planning
  • To provide resources and activities to facilitate the career planning process
  • To empower students with life-long career decision-making skills
  • To upgrade the student’s communication skills and knowledge by inviting experts
  • To act as a link between students, alumni, and the employment community
  • To assist students in the development and implementation of successful job search strategies
  • To assist our students in obtaining final placement in reputed companies/ hospitals/ laboratories
  • To serve the community by providing access to our campus-wide activities & career resources

POLICY

  • The role of the Placement Cell is of a facilitator and counsellor for placement-related activities.
  • The placement facility is available to all the students registered with Training & Placement Cell through ONE JOB TO ONE STUDENT. It is mandatory for the students to attend aptitude and other training (Resume Writing/ Email Writing/ GD/ PI Training), failing which students will not be allowed to participate in any Placement Activity.
  • Students should wear formal clothes and must keep their Identity Card with them at the time of interviews, and produce the same when demanded by the visiting team or their representatives.
  • Students should be present at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time at the venue & be seated. A delay in reporting will disqualify the student from the recruitment process.
  • If students face any difficulty or have any queries, they should contact the member of the Placement cell only.
  • Students should not contact the recruiter directly. This should be strictly followed.
  • Any student who has received an offer letter, must inform the Placement cell and submit a photocopy of the same as soon as possible.
  • Any breach of these rules shall lead to the student getting debarred from the placement process.
  • Students should have a positive approach toward placement drives.
